2 Nephi : 16
16 And I have aput my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion: Behold, thou art my bpeople.
After reading the footnote for the word put I realized that the beginning of this scripture is talking about the Prophet. The Lord works with His Prophets very closely. He teaches them what to say so that they can speak as if He were the one speaking.
Also I love how it likens the Prophet unto the Lord's shadow. What does a shadow resemble? It resembles the person it is coming from. Here the Lord is saying just that, the Prophet acts and moves just as the Lord acts and moves. The Prophet is His shadow.
We are given a Prophet so that we may know God and that we are His.
