And Lucifer became Satan

Moses 4:1-4

 And I, the Lord God, spake unto Moses, saying: That Satan, whom thou hast commanded in the name of mine Only Begotten, is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me, saying—Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor.
-When Lucifer was presenting himself, he asked for honor and recognition.  He also said he would redeem all mankind which is impossible to do unless each individual loses the freedom to act as an agent for themselves and becomes more like an object to be acted on.
 But, behold, my Beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me—Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever.
-Now obviously Heavenly Father presented what he wanted the Chosen Redeemer's role to be and while Satan had his own plan and wanted his own glory, Jesus came forward and said "thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever."
     How beautiful that is.  Jesus Christ stood up, and agreed to be the Savior and Redeemer for mankind and lay down his life and he did not want any glory with it.  Of course Heavenly Father glorifies those who glorify Him, but Jesus did not care for glory. He cared to please His Father.  Truly truly beautiful.
 Wherefore, because that Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man, which I, the Lord God, had given him, and also, that I should give unto him mine own power; by the power of mine Only Begotten, I caused that he should be cast down;
-  The thing that sticks out to me so greatly in this scripture is when it says that the Lord gave us agency, which Satan tried to take away from us (and still does), and because of agency we are able also to receive greater power, the kind of power God has.  Without agency we wouldn't be able to act for ourselves (becoming like objects to be acted upon) and we wouldn't grow or receive added power.
 And he became Satan, yea, even the devil, the father of all lies, to deceive and to blind men, and to lead them captive at his will, even as many as would not hearken unto my voice.
-Yes he became Satan and along with the 1/3rd of the hosts of heaven, he was cast down to this earth.
D&C 29:38
  38 And, behold, there is a place prepared for them from the beginning, which place is hell.
But why were they sent to this earth when there is a place prepared for them, aka..hell.
 39 And it must needs be that the devil should tempt the children of men, or they could not be agents unto themselves; for if they never should have bitter they could not know the sweet—
-They were sent here so we could be tempted and have choices, and so that we could know joy.
Love,
